2014 Update: Academic requirements for local psychology degrees

With the 'A' levels results just out this week, I feel that it is very timely to do a review of the academic requirements, as per done in the past two years.  The list below will be applicable to the students applying to the local degrees available, with the 'A' level results or their polytechnic GPAs.  As the list for entry into psychology diplomas in the polytechnics will be late for this round, it will be available for the next round next year.  Apologies for that!!

For the degrees: (This are represented by their current year entry students' 3H2/1H1 and polytechnic GPA grades and stated by 10th % - lowest minimum; and 90th % - safest to be confirmed percentile)
NUS (2013/14): 3H2/1H1: 10th - ABB/C, 90% - AAA/A.  GPA: 10th - 3.68, 90% - 3.89
(Additional criteria - Students must obtain at least a B-grade in each of these modules during their first year of the program: PL1101E and PL2131)
NTU (2013/14): 3H2/1H1: 10th - BBC/B, 90% - AAA/A.  GPA: 10th - 3.69, 90% - 3.95
SMU (2013/14): 3H2/1H1: 10th - BBC/C, 90% - AAA/A.  GPA: 10th - 3.72, 90% - 3.90

Do note: The grade profiles vary from year to year, depending on the grade performance of applicants, and only serves as an indication of the range of grades required;  it does not guarantee admission into the course for the current year,
